Rita is the kind of dog whose presence instantly lifts the mood of any room she’s in! Loved by everyone who meets her, this friendly, vivacious young lady is a total hoot. Playful and silly, she is just tons of fun to be around. She`s a total social butterfly who loves to make new friends and would love to find an active, fun-loving family to match her great energy!  And this goofy little wiggle butt loves to keep busy! She loves to play fetch and will also self-entertain if no one else wants to play. But she also has a curious and, dare I say, contemplative side — according to her foster mom, she absolutely loves to look out the window and will do so for hours. And when outdoors, she loves to just sit and take in the fresh air, even in the cold.This girl is also uber-affectionate! She is a big-time snuggler but also very willing to give you space — in her foster home, she loves to army crawl over to her person and put her head on their shoulder when they wake up in the morning. In her prior home, her adopter had nothing but wonderful words for her, noting that she`s a wonderful cuddle companion who loves staying close to the people she adores.Rita also thoroughly enjoys her current multi-dog lifestyle, spending tons of time with several four-legged foster-siblings that she adores, and she is always down for a game of wrestling or `bitey face` with the others. Both her foster mom and her prior adopter do recommend that any canine companions of Rita`s should definitely be ones that enjoy (or are at least patient with) rambunctious dogs, because this girl definitely loves to play!Politeness-wise, she listens well and is eager to please. She`s good on a leash and will work for cookies. She CAN be a bit jumpy and nippy when she first comes out of her crate and sometimes with visitor greetings, so this would just be something to be mindful about with younger kids.Overall, Rita is a total sweetheart. She’s playful and snuggly, loves to engage and entertain but can also be independent. She`d likely enjoy having some canine companions with similar energy and playfulness, but if her new family doesn’t have a dog to play with, she’d do best with someone who will exercise her or provide enrichment (or a fenced in yard she can sit in all day).Rita is estimated to be around a year old and weighs 49 lbs.
