Are you a huge fan of large breed dogs? Consider adding Evie to your family.
She's had a rough time earlier this year but is moving forward after the death of her owner. Evie is a lovely big girl and is looking for a great family to be a part of. She's ready to find a forever home with people who will return all the love she will have for them!
It would be best if Evie is the only pet in the household. She prefers to have all the attention, food and toys for herself. Evie would do best in a home with teenagers rather than small children.
Evie is a 100% loyal shadow to her people but doesn't give her trust and loyalty away freely. She will protect you with her life but will size you up first. Once you're in her circle, you're Evie's family for life. After that, she will be your "Velcro Girl. She is affectionate, observant, and deeply bonded to her family members. She is a 90+ pound lap dog who thinks personal space is a myth. Evie is crate trained and does really well on long car rides. She may need a little Trazodone (to calm her) while she is transitioning to her new home.
SUPER POWERS: She specializes in monitoring the house and perimeter and keeping her pack safe. This is her greatest joy. This sweetheart is food/treat motivated and enjoys learning cool tricks and commands. Her foster is working with her and says Evie's doing great!
She's a gentle giant, physically strong, healthy and a beautiful girl. She enjoys daily exercise of some sort (walks, playing with toys in the yard, etc.). Evie is great on the leash and enjoys going for walks, adventures and rides in the car! Once she has had her exercise for the day, she is ready to chill. Shed make an excellent movie watching buddy! Evie will thrive in an environment where her new owner understands her breed, her needs, unique qualities and temperament.
Evie is healthy, microchipped, current on all vaccines and vet services, and has a negative heartworm and negative fecal test. Until Labor Day, her adoption fee is $75 and includes a yearly ProHeart12 Injection (for heartworms) and an annual Bravecto Quantum Injection (for fleas & ticks). Both injections are good through November 2026. Another heartworm and flea-tick injection will be needed at that time and will last for another year.
