    At just 12 pounds, Milo Miller has a whole lot of love packed into one adorable little package! This 3-year-old Dachshund/Shih Tzu/Chi mix is the sweetest, most affectionate boy who loves his people and makes a wonderful companion. He’s the kind of dog who can make an ordinary day a little brighter simply by being by your side. Milo is a smart little guy who learns quickly and is already housebroken. He has so much love to give and will thrive with someone who appreciates the special bond that comes from being his person. Like many dogs, Milo has a few things he’s still working through. He experiences some anxiety, but it isn’t crippling, and he’s making progress! He’ll benefit from a calm, predictable environment, a patient person, and the reassurance that comes with feeling safe and secure. With understanding and continued support, Milo has every opportunity to keep building confidence in his new home. Milo also has some resource-guarding tendencies. He can be protective of the things he values, including his food, toys, and favorite people, and he isn’t comfortable sharing them. Because of this, Milo needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home with no children, where his boundaries can be respected and he won’t have to compete for the things that matter to him. Milo isn’t looking for a perfect person or a perfect home. He’s looking for his person - someone who sees the sweet, loving companion beneath the challenges, celebrates his progress, and is willing to help him continue to grow at his own pace. In return, you’ll get a devoted little friend with a big heart and so much affection to give.
