Meet scallion
**New video 12/7!**
Meet Scallion ACCT-A-228277 — affectionately known as Scully!
This beautiful grey-brown brindle girl with her adorable white “socks” has come such a long way since being found as a stray in Philadelphia in early August. Estimated to be around 1-year old and weighing 38 lbs, Scully is a petite Staffordshire Terrier mix who blossomed in her foster home.
Scully can be shy at first and is still learning to trust humans, but she’s all heart — gentle, sensitive, and never a hint of aggression. She’ll let you pick her up and is working every day on confidence building. She’ll even approach visitors now, curious but cautious, sometimes dodging pets but always choosing connection at her own pace.
Once she knows you, she’s a total Velcro pup — quietly following you from room to room, watching with those soulful eyes, and finding comfort just being near you. She LOVES other dogs and truly comes alive around them. She’s social, playful, and takes great direction from confident canine friends, so a friendly adult resident dog who enjoys both humans and pups is a must for her continued growth.
Scully is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training fun and rewarding. She’s crate trained, house trained (99%!), and sleeps through the night outside her crate without accidents or destruction. She knows “sit” and “touch,” and is working on “down” and leash skills. She lives with a dog-savvy cat and has done beautifully — no aggression at all, just curiosity and playfulness.
While she hasn’t lived with young kids, she’s met a toddler and was calm and polite. Given her gentle nature, she may actually feel more comfortable with small children — though she’s still a puppy and can be a bit mouthy during play.
Because of her initial fearfulness, a secure fenced yard is recommended, as she could be a flight risk when startled.
Scully is up to date on vaccines, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
With patience, love, and a confident canine buddy, Scallion (aka Scully) will make the most loyal and tender-hearted addition to her forever home!
