Meet thaddeus
Thaddeus is a goofy, affectionate, incredibly smart dog who absolutely loves life. We found him abandoned in Anacostia Park in July 2023 during an extreme heat advisory, severely emaciated and dehydrated. After spending three weeks receiving intensive medical care, he made an incredible recovery and has been part of our family ever since.Thaddeus loves people, cuddling, being outdoors, and especially having something to work on. He learns quickly, enjoys training, and does great with new people, including the house and pet sitters who regularly stay with him. He even loves going to the groomer!With two young children and another rescue dog, we simply can't give Thaddeus the exercise and individual attention he deserves. He would thrive as the only pet in an adult home with someone who enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, training, and lots of affection. He has a big personality, tons of enthusiasm, and so much love to give.
