Buttons enjoys the company of other dogs and would do especially well in a home with a confident, friendly canine companion. She can be a little skittish during play, so she prefers a dog who understands personal space and enjoys fun chase games without getting too rough or rowdy.Buttons has some stranger danger, particularly when unfamiliar men enter her home. Giving her a little space is usually all she needs to feel comfortable, and she can also be separated for short visits while she gets used to new people. Her history suggests that she may have some difficulty being left alone, and she does best when she has a dog friend for company. With consistent exercise, enrichment, and companionship, we think she could handle alone time like a champ.Buttons also likes cats and is good with kids, whom she will generally happily ignore.
