One of Carter’s most charming qualities is his chameleon-like play style. He’s wonderfully adaptable and adjusts his energy and approach to match whichever dog he’s playing with. Whether his buddy wants gentle romping, fast-paced chase games, or confident roughhousing, Carter meets them right where they are. He especially enjoys dogs his size or larger, but his ability to tune into his play partner’s vibe makes him a fantastic companion for many canine personalities.

When it comes to adventures, Carter is always in. He’ll hop into the car as soon as you pick up the keys, splash through rivers like they were made for him, and sprint after a tossed ball with pure delight. And after all the excitement, he loves settling in with his trusted inner circle for quiet, cozy downtime.

Carter is house-trained, knows his basic manners, and is eager to keep learning. His social skills are so solid that he actually helps “mentor” younger dogs, showing them how to play politely and navigate the world with confidence. Carter is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Carter, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
