Meet acorn

***Acorn is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.***

Little Acorn is a cute, lively, fun puppy! She is estimated to be about 13 weeks old and weighs 12 pounds right now. Her foster mom has so many things to say about her:

Acorn is a very busy girl! We keep her busy with puzzles and frozen peanut butter lick mats. We are also working on her leash skills. She no longer tries to eat it!

She did meet a few of my friends yesterday! She's not the biggest fan of being petted (even with us) but she loves being held or sitting on your lap.

She also is fantastic at crate training. We say "go to bed" and she goes in no problem. We cover it with a blanket and she stays quiet. She also sleeps all night (9ish until 5ish).

She's also had no accidents for us in the last few days. We say "outside" and she goes outside and goes potty right away.

She's also very good with our dogs and cats.

She's definitely not a cuddly girl, she doesn't stay sitting long enough, but I'm guessing her breed has something to do with her energy.

She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old as she is very puppy mouthy, however, she is easy to redirect. Acorn is also a bit possessive of high value items, and we are working on "trading up" and she is making great strides.

Acorn is all puppy - curious, playful, entertaining, and a lot of work. She is looking for a forever home that will provide her with the love and guidance she needs. Puppies require and deserve a lot of time and energy, but they will repay their families with a lifetime of unconditional love and happiness. Nova is looking for a family to make a best friend for life!

If you are interested in Acorn and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
