Meet kona
Kona is a sweet, goofy, and lovable 6.5 year Pit/Staff mix (with many other breeds sprinkled in, according to his DNA!). We adopted him when he was 6 weeks old and he has been a core part of our family ever since. He loves going to the park, playing tug of war and chasing tennis balls, and equally he loves relaxing with us on the couch and watching a movie or two. It is with careful consideration and a heavy heart that we have made the decision to re home Kona. We had our first child 18 months ago, and now that she is active and mobile, it has been increasingly more difficult to provide safe interaction between the two. He is a big guy, about 100lbs, and a simple sudden movement can send our daughter tumbling to the ground. Because she is so young, she cannot understand the proper boundaries with a large dog. In our small apartment, we are unable to provide either of them adequate space that they need and deserve to thrive.
