Meet Xena, a sweet, affectionate girl who's happiest curled up beside her favorite people! At around 44 pounds, this beautiful girl has soulful eyes, a playful personality, and plenty of love to give.
Xena is a total sweetheart at home. She loves following her people around, snuggling up beside them, and being part of whatever they're doing. She also enjoys playing tug-of-war and will happily bring her toy back to you when she's ready for another round. She's got a playful side, but she also loves settling in for some quality cuddle time.
Xena is still learning to feel comfortable when she's on her own. She has separation anxiety, but she's been making encouraging progress with patience, consistency, and support. She's recently started medication through her veterinarian, and her training is ongoing.
Xena needs a home where she can be the only pet. She can be reactive around other dogs and cats, so she needs a home without other animals. A quieter environment with a predictable routine, patient people, and ideally a secure yard may help her feel comfortable and thrive. Her future family should be prepared to continue working with her on separation anxiety and help her build confidence at her own pace.
Xena has so much affection to give. She deserves a family who will appreciate her cuddly nature, enjoy her playful personality, and give her the time and understanding she needs to settle in.
