Meet misty
Misty is an approximately 1.5-year-old, 16-pound sweetheart who is believed to be a Miniature Schnauzer, Shih Tzu, and Yorkshire Terrier mix. She has beautiful black-and-white spots and adorable brown eyebrows that give her a look all her own!
Misty is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and well-behaved girl who would make a wonderful companion. She loves attention and will happily come up to you for pets or follow you around the house just to be nearby. She's also perfectly content sitting quietly next to you and enjoying your company. She doesn't mind being picked up and loves spending time with her people.
Despite her young age, Misty already has excellent manners! She's potty trained, is crate trained, knows basic commands like "sit" and "down," and does well when left home alone. She sleeps in her crate overnight and settles in easily. She also enjoys treats and does well with baths!
Misty has really started to come out of her shell over the past week! While initially reserved around her foster siblings, she's now enjoying playtime with one of the dogs while respectfully giving the other dog his space. She's shown that she can be a playful companion while also understanding when another dog would rather be left alone. She could do well as an only dog or in a home with other friendly dogs. She hasn't yet been around cats or children.
Misty is still relatively new to foster care, and we're continuing to learn more about her personality! She's already become more confident and playful as she's settled in, and we expect more of her personality to emerge with time.
Misty is spayed and microchipped and needs just one more round of vaccinations to be fully vetted.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, well-mannered companion with a playful side, Misty might be the perfect match!
