🐾 POLLY ISN’T READY FOR HER STORY TO END. ❤️Meet Polly. Another one of our precious senior girls who has endured more than any dog ever should.Polly was one of six dogs who came to us from the same place. A place where she had been confined to a wire crate for who knows how long.However long it was, it was WAY too long.When Polly first arrived, we weren’t even sure she was going to make it. Her little old body was tired. She struggled to move around. She didn’t want to play, explore, or even walk much. She just wanted to sleep.And honestly, we wondered if she had simply given up.But somewhere along the way, something changed.Polly decided she wasn’t finished living. ❤️And now? Just LOOK at her! She’s got a little pep in her step! She’s exploring, enjoying the outdoors, and reminding us that there’s still plenty of life left in this sweet old girl.Is she a little wobbly? Absolutely. One of her back legs is weaker than the other. Her body carries the wear and tear of years we know very little about.But Polly isn’t asking someone to spend a fortune trying to fix every little thing her aging body has endured.She’s just asking for a chance to LIVE.To have a soft bed in a warm home.To feel safe enough to sleep without a care in the world.To have someone tell her she’s beautiful. That she’s special. That she’s such a strong, brave girl.To have someone walk outside with her, even if she moves a little slower, just so she can feel the sunshine on her back and the grass beneath her paws.To know what it feels like to belong to someone.We don’t know how much time Polly has left. We don’t have a crystal ball. Maybe it’s months. Maybe it’s years.But here’s what we DO know.Polly deserves to spend whatever time she has left being someone’s whole world. Not behind the bars of a wire crate. Not inside a concrete shelter kennel. But HOME.She doesn’t need a perfect house, a big yard, or someone with endless resources.She needs patience. Kindness. A comfortable place to rest.
