alex

Meet Alex! Alex is an adorable 7½-month-old, 20-pound pup, believed to be a Spaniel/Aussie mix. He’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, playful, and just wants to feel safe and loved. Alex has recently moved into a calm, quiet foster home, and the difference has been remarkable! He’s absolutely thriving! His house-training has improved tremendously, with no accidents in the last several days. He’s learning quickly and doing beautifully with a consistent routine. Alex would love an active family with a fenced-in yard or secure play area where he can run and burn off his puppy energy. He would also do wonderfully with another dog, as he follows their lead and is respectful of older dogs. Alex isn’t a fan of being confined, which is understandable considering he spent much of his time shut away in a room at his previous owner’s home before coming into rescue. Thankfully, he’s making wonderful progress in his new foster home! He now voluntarily goes into his soft-sided crate to relax and sleep. He’s still learning that having the door closed doesn’t mean he’s being shut away again. With patience, positive reinforcement, and continued reassurance that he’s safe, we’re confident he’ll continue to build trust and confidence. Most importantly, Alex needs a calm, stable home with consistency and structure. He doesn’t thrive in chaotic, high-stress environments, but in the right setting, he’s proving what an amazing little dog he can be! Alex is a typical fun-loving puppy who enjoys his toys, affection, and being part of the family.   Adoption is $350 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention.
