meggie – the velcro pup

Meet Meggie, a 4-month-old, 12-lb black Lab mix with the sweetest little heart.

Meggie was found with her sisters in a rough area of Puerto Rico — a place where three tiny puppies had no business trying to survive on their own. Thankfully, they were found and brought to safety, and now Meggie is getting her chance to learn just how good life can be.

Meggie can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a little time and her adorable, playful personality starts to shine. Once she realizes she’s safe, she’s incredibly sweet and loves to play. She absolutely adores other dogs and comes out of her shell beautifully around her furry friends.

Meggie is looking for her forever home in the New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, or Connecticut area. She may need a minute to know you’re her person — but once she does, you’ll get to watch this gentle little girl blossom right in front of you.

Meggie survived the hard part. Now she just needs someone to show her she never has to be scared or alone again.
