Meet debrincat

Debrincat A18841144 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -This sweet boy may be a little unsure of the world, but he’s got a whole lot of love hiding under that nervous exterior. He walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling and spent just a little time exploring the yard before deciding my lap was a much better place to be. And honestly, who can blame him? 🥹-He enjoys attention and is learning to trust. He would occasionally get a little stiff when being petted all over, but he quickly relaxed and even offered a few kisses! Inside, he came over to hang out with me, and with a little gentle encouragement, he eventually curled up between my legs like he’d found his safe little spot. If I stopped petting him, he’d nudge me for more. Excuse me, human, the cuddle service is not finished! -He enjoys treats, knows how to sit, and takes snacks nicely. Toys weren’t really his thing, but he seems much more interested in companionship than playtime right now.-He’s a good boy who just needs a little time to build confidence and learn that he can let his guard down. Give him some patience, kindness, and a cozy place to snuggle, and I think this little lovebug has so much affection to give. -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30**We ask that if you’re looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
