Meet Hippo! 🦛
Big name, big personality, and an even bigger heart! At just 7 months old, Hippo is a goofy boy, with a playful personality and so much potential. Don't let his size fool you — he's still just a baby figuring out the world!
Hippo is a total fun-loving guy who loves fetch, tug-of-war, walks, and pretty much any opportunity to play. He's also an affectionate mush who enjoys relaxing and hanging out with his people. He's been working hard on his leash manners and has already made incredible progress, becoming a much looser leash walker in just five days!
He's also learning that his crate can be a cozy place to settle. He sleeps in his crate at night and is crated when his people can't supervise him. He's making progress with crate training and continues to build confidence.
Hippo has met several new people and has done wonderfully! He's been getting out and about to experience busy, populated places and learn how to navigate the world around him. He's a smart boy who is eager to learn, but like any growing puppy, he still needs guidance.
Hippo would thrive with an adopter who understands his size, breed, age, and puppy energy and is excited to help him become the best version of himself. He needs someone willing to provide structure, boundaries, continued socialization, and lots of love. He does well with most dogs with proper introductions!
