Meet Nanook!
Nanook is a 6-year-old, 45 lb Border Collie/McNab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. This sweet derpy guy has a goofy, playful personality and is ready to find his family!
Nanook is a fun companion who enjoys spending time with his people, going for walks, and playing with other dogs. He walks well on leash overall and loves getting out to explore, though those tempting squirrels and bunnies can really grab his attention! When he spots something he wants to chase, he can pull with quite a bit of strength, so his adopters should be prepared to keep working with him on leash manners.
Nanook is a smart boy who catches on to routines quickly and is motivated by treats, making him a fun dog to continue training with. He can get a little enthusiastic when taking treats, but he’s working on being gentler. With his people, he has a sweet, gentle side that makes him a great companion.
Nanook gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful canine friend to share his home with. He could also be happy as an only dog, as long as he gets regular opportunities to socialize and play with other dogs. At the end of the day, he’s just as happy spending quality time with his favorite humans.
