Socks is a cool-ass dog — funny, sweet, energetic, affectionate, and full of personality. She’s incredibly smart, loves to play and explore, and takes beautifully to training both on and off leash. She’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh every day, and we absolutely adore her. We think she’d thrive with an experienced owner who wants a loyal, fun-loving companion to pour their attention into. Socks does have some reactivity, particularly barking and lunging at unfamiliar guests, and would do best as the “only child” in a calm, adult-only home. We’ve invested in an in-home trainer and worked hard to help her succeed. Recently, while trapped and in pain, she bit the fingers of one of our children who was trying to free her — her first and ONLY bite incident. The reality is that our household of 4 children can be overwhelmingly chaotic, and it won’t calm down for another decade.
