Meet Hannah!

Hannah is a 3-year-old, 8-pound Shih Tzu with a happy heart and a whole lot of love to give! Found as a stray, she was badly matted and covered in fleas. Her owner never came for her, but now Hannah has the chance to find a family who will give her the care and affection she deserves.

Much of Hannah’s fur had to be shaved away to make her comfortable. With time, proper care, and regular grooming, her coat will grow back more beautiful than ever. Despite her rough start, this little lady remains wonderfully social and happy. She loves spending time with her people and is ready to become someone’s cherished companion.

Hannah does well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a home with older, dog-savvy children. Cats, however, are a little too tempting to chase, so she will need a feline-free home.

She has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and is crate trained. Hannah is still learning better leash manners, so a securely enclosed, physical fenced yard would be the best fit for her. A tether or invisible fence is not suitable.

When Hannah gets excited, she sometimes has plenty to say! Because of her tendency to be vocal, apartment living or a community with homes very close together would not be a good match.

This sweet girl is ready for a life filled with companionship, gentle care, and the comfort of belonging. Hannah is looking for a family who will keep her close, keep her cared for, and love her furever.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
