Meet miss hunny
Miss Hunny was turned into police in a smaller town as a stray. At that time, she had no use of her back legs and was unable to empty her bladder independently.
After a lot of hard work and TLC by the initial vet team, she moved to foster where she continued her rehabilitation and therapy. We're happy to say she has regained nearly all strength and control in her back legs (continuing physical therapy) and is able to use the bathroom without difficulty.
Miss Hunny is all heart, love and determination. She gets along well with other pets and smaller children.
Hunny DOES have known hemivertebrae and, with her previous injury, needs to use ramps/stairs to get up on furniture or into cars. A flying bulldog leap could reinjure her back.
Miss Hunny is middle-aged (estimating 6-7years based on teeth and appearance) with perfect blood work. She was recently spayed and had cherry eye repair completed. She'll need to remain on joint supplements and an eye lubricant. It's important to continue to watch her Schirmer tear test numbers and consider adding additional eye medication if they drop too low.
Miss Hunny is happy, playful and loving and should make a great addition to any home!
