Meet starfish
Starfish was previously in an abusive home and that has created some complications for her.
Her primary behavioral issue is leash reactivity and anxiety. She has been fine off leash with other dogs but because of her breed she can be too much for other dogs unless they are similar to her, such as energetic young dogs, working dogs, or herding dogs.
She is an absolute sweetheart in every other aspect. She loves to cuddle and likes to think she’s a lap dog even at 55 pounds. She gets along well with our cat. Once she is used to other people she’s super friendly with them and will be their best friend. She’s very protective of her home and her people.
She’s a very smart girl and picks up tricks and training quickly. She’s good with sit, stay, come, heel, spin (both ways), lay down, middle, and others. She’s treat motivated and tennis ball crazy. She’s a beautiful dog and we love her but we want better for her than we can provide. She needs someone with time and patience for her.
