⚖️ Weight: 53 lbs

🐈 Good with cats? Yes
👦 Good with kids? Unknown
🐕 Leash Trained? Unknown
🏠 House Trained? Unknown
Bandida is a black Border Collie mix with a thoughtful side and a whole lot of brains. She can be timid when meeting someone new, but give her a little time and she warms up, showing the loyal nature that makes her such a special companion.
Bandy is highly food-motivated and smart, which should make continued training a rewarding way to build her confidence. She gets along well with cats and easygoing dogs. Due to her natural athleticism, she’ll need a tall fence or close supervision outdoors since she can be an escape artist.
This bright girl is ready to find her person and start exploring the world together. Give her a little patience, and you gain a devoted adventure buddy who’s happiest being right by your side.
Bandida is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm disease. The Artemis Project will continue to provide the necessary monthly medication for treatment until cleared of heartworms.
---------------
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—> PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION:

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
