Meet Scarlet: A Little Sunshine Looking for Her Forever Home
Rescued from the side of a dangerous, busy road in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, baby Scarlet is ready for her happily-ever-after. At just 9 weeks old, this sweet Sata (Puerto Rican mixed breed) has already shown us what a joyful, resilient little soul she is.
Scarlet quickly settled into her foster home, where she discovered the wonderful world of toys, made friends with her foster siblings, and embraced puppy life with her whole heart. She has a bubbly personality, a playful spirit, and a silly, clownish side that will keep you smiling. Between playtime, belly rubs, Nylabones, and snacks, Scarlet is happiest simply being her fun-loving self. She's even learning to do her business outside!
Her beginning was heartbreaking. She was born near a road known for claiming the lives of many dogs, and sadly, several of her siblings did not survive. Now, we're determined to give Scarlet the safe, loving future every puppy deserves.
A little more about Scarlet:
• Age: 9 weeks (her estimated DOB would be August 8, 2026)
• Breed: Sata (Puerto Rican mixed-breed); possibly a Shepherd and Labrador mix (happy!)
• Expected size: Approximately 32–45 lbs.
• Personality: Playful, affectionate, outgoing, and dog-friendly
• Ideal home: A loving family, preferably with a friendly medium-to-large doggy companion
• Medical: Age-appropriate DHPP booster vaccine doses and deworming completed; spaying will be needed when she's old enough, around 6 months, as advised by her veterinarian. She is also microchipped.
Scarlet is ready to bring laughter, love, and puppy kisses to her forever family. Could she be the missing piece of your family?
