Meet sammy

Meet Sammy ❤️

Sammy is a 1,5-year-old, 35-lb sweetheart with a playful spirit, a loving personality, and just the right amount of energy. At 35 lbs, he is a wonderful medium size—not too big, not too small—and an easy companion for everyday life.

Sammy is friendly, confident, affectionate, and very well-socialized. He genuinely enjoys being around people and loves attention and companionship. He has a happy, playful side and enjoys having fun, but with his medium energy level, he also knows how to settle down and enjoy time with his people.

At only 1,5 years old, Sammy is still a young dog with plenty of enthusiasm for walks, playtime, adventures, and exploring the world with his future family. But he isn’t a nonstop bundle of energy. He has a lovely balance that could make him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog to enjoy life with and then relax together at home.

Most of all, Sammy is a people dog. He is comfortable and confident around humans, seeks out affection, and seems happiest when he feels included. His social nature makes us believe that at some point in his life, Sammy was part of a family.

Sadly, we don’t know what happened to that family.

Sammy was found tied to a pole outside a busy market, left there alone. Because the market is such a busy place, we hope whoever left him chose that location knowing he would quickly be seen and someone would help him.

Despite what happened, Sammy hasn’t lost his trust in people.

He is still the same happy, affectionate, playful boy—ready to love someone and become part of a family again.

Sammy has his whole life ahead of him. There are so many walks to take, toys to play with, places to explore, cuddles to give, and memories still waiting to be made.

Sammy has an opportunity to travel to New York, but he can only make the journey if he has a confirmed adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting to welcome him.
