To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- A combination of cuddle bug and goofball; always wants to be by your side or on top of you being held like a baby- Loves all food and all toys, including tennis balls, Nylabones, stuffed toys, and Kongs filled with pumpkin or peanut butter - it all depends on his mood - Good in the car and loves sticking his head out - it's very funny watching his lips flap in the wind - Enjoys sleeping in bed with his people and wants to have his head on the pillow as if he were human - Knows sit and shake and is food-motivated- Loves going on walks and does great on a harness, with little pulling unless he sees other dogs- Has been pretty well potty trained in his foster home with few accidents; may need some help in his new home getting to 100%- Has done very well in his foster family's home with a fenced yard; may do fine with apartment-living as well, as he prefers to be indoors rather than out - When left alone, his mission is finding any food that has been left out, so putting food items in secure places will be important - Went on a Dog's Day Out field trip while in the shelter: "He was very well-behaved. He did a good job with my kids and loved going on a walk. He enjoyed standing in the creek to cool off. We had a good time hanging out with him." - Has been great meeting new people, although he may be a bit much for smaller kids - Seems to do well with most dogs, according to his foster family - May have allergies (more info at ARL)This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program.
