Meet milt

Milt A18788644 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -This sweet boy is a total snuggle bug who seems happiest when he’s right by his people. ❤️ Out in the yard, he wanted to stay close to me the entire time. Once he got comfortable, he loved rolling over for belly rubs, giving kisses, and soaking up all the attention. He initially seemed a little unsure about getting in my lap, but once he realized he was welcome there, he was all about the love!-He’s treat motivated and quickly picked up “sit,” taking treats very gently. He isn’t showing much interest in toys right now, but honestly, being loved on seems to be his favorite thing. He’s still gaining confidence and experience on leash and can wrap around your legs, so he’ll benefit from a little patience and guidance as he learns. He can also get a little overwhelmed in busier situations, but he greets people appropriately and just needs reassurance when things feel like a lot.-All around, this is one very sweet, loving pup who just wants to be close to his people and feel safe and loved.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30**We ask that if you’re looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
