rambo

Rambo's Story! On Friday, August 7th, I was contacted by a FB friend to tell me about a homeless woman with her two sons that were sitting out in 100 degree heat, with 3 or 4 kennels that contained 20 dogs/puppies. I immediately sent my PLM2 partner as he was only about 25 minutes away from her. When he arrived, Animal control was already in place picking up 10 dogs. That of course left 10, in which Rambo was one of the 10. My partner negotiated with her for about 2 hours, offered her money to take the pups/dogs (she refused and kept feeding them chocolate cake). I spoke with Animal Control and ask that they take the dogs and I would have them picked up immediately. As Animal Control had already taken 10 of those pups, she did even better than that. She called the woman on her cell phone (yes, she had a cell phone) and told her she needed to release the dogs to the rescue immediately or the 3 of them (humans) would be arrested for "animal cruelty". We also gave the woman $300.00 to help her with getting food or whatever she needed. Well, long story short, the 10 dogs/pups arrived at the PLM facility about an hour and a half later. Since then little Rambo has grown, developed and has been so loving. He gets along with all my others and he LOVES to play with the big dogs. It has been quite an adventure with these 10, but so well worth everything we have done to save these precious pups.
Rambo is current on shots, although needs to be neutered in or around February 2027, along with a microchip. A neuter agreement along with vet references will be required. He is a Patterdale Terrier mix (I do have his dad and mom at my rescue as well). So Rambo sounds like he may be a good fit for your family, please reach out!
