benji

Meet Benji! At just 8 weeks old and 11 pounds of pure puppy squishiness, Benji is already serving up some serious sweetness. This adorable Lab/Heinz 57 mix is going to be large boy when he grows up, so his future family should be prepared for lots of dog hair, slobbery kisses, and a whole lot of lovable dog. Benji arrived at our shelter through a special partnership with our friends at Geauga Moms and Pups, along with his brother, Comet. These sweet pups were welcomed into our care so they could find the loving homes they deserve. And Benji is one seriously gorgeous boy. He has a beautiful brindle coat that feels like velvet. Benji is a little shy but he is happy to get out there, explore, meet new friends, and show off his sweet puppy personality. He`s affectionate, playful, and ready to be part of whatever fun is happening around him. We think Benji would be especially happy in a home with another friendly dog. Having a canine companion to play with, learn from, and snuggle with would be a wonderful addition to his new life. A meet and greet with your resident dog is required. Of course, Benji is still a puppy, which means he is very much a work in progress. His forever family will need to be ready to help him learn all those important puppy skills, including general obedience, leash skills, housetraining, and proper socialization. With patience, consistency, love, and plenty of treats, we know Benji is going to grow into an amazing companion. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Benji is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome him into your home while he completes his veterinary care, vaccines, and microchipping. To meet Benji, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete an adoption application online. Benji’s adoption fee is $200. Please remember that puppies are a lifetime commitment. They require lots of time, patience, training, and work, but in return, they will give you a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty. If you`re ready to dedicate the time and effort it takes to help a puppy grow into his very best self, get your application in for Benji. He`s sweet, he`s squishy, and he`s not going to be waiting around for long.
