Tim Horton is a playful and sweet male mini-bernadoodle puppy. So far, he seems to prefer people to playing with other dogs, but we are sure in time he will enjoy both equally. He loves to run, run, run inside and out. And he is very "bouncy" so will need to have patience in his adopted home as he learns some manners. He is 5 months old and is learning about potty training and crate training. Both are going very well! He is less vocal as a puppy than his brother and wants to watch first, then jump into play and interactions. Must be wise beyond his years!

Tim Horton has learned how to go out the back door to the yard, manage the steps to the patio (up and down) and is figuring out how to use his legs to jump on furniture and laps. He does not like a leash so that is something that will be worked on in his foster home.

Like most puppies, he still believes fingers, toes and moving feet make excellent playthings. Puppy teeth are sharp, so his adopter should be prepared to continue working with him on appropriate puppy play, chewing and manners.

Preference will be given to a home where Tim Horton will have a playmate, whether that is children or a young, playful dog. He enjoys being part of the activity and would not be happy spending long days alone. Like all puppies, he needs frequent potty breaks, supervision, continued training and plenty of appropriate outlets for his energy.

He is microchipped and current on his age-appropriate vaccines and veterinary care.

Because of his age, Tim Horton has not yet been neutered. His adopter will be responsible for having the procedure completed at the appropriate age. Leia’s Hope Canine Rescue will provide a credit directly to the adopter’s veterinarian to help with the cost of his neuter.

We are a volunteer ran rescue and all our dogs are in foster homes. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing applications.

A puppy is a commitment that may last 15 years or longer. Applicants should carefully consider the time, expense, training and lifestyle changes involved in raising a puppy before applying.

Tim Horton is located in Mahomet Illinois. Applicants must be willing to travel to Mahomet. We do not transport or ship dogs. Those flying must bring Tim Horton home with them in the airplane cabin; he will not be permitted to travel in cargo.

Leia’s Hope Canine Rescue is a foster-based, volunteer-run rescue. An approved application is required before meet-and-greets. Applying does not guarantee adoption, and applications are reviewed to find the home that is the best fit for each individual dog.
