Hi, I’m Max! I’m a handsome 6-year-old Yorkie with a fluffy black-and-tan coat, adorable little Yorkie legs, and the most expressive eyes. I may be a little cautious when we first meet, but I’m warming up more every day and still taking some time to figure out this whole new world around me.I’m happiest when I can relax close to my person. You’ll often find me settled at your feet, enjoying some gentle attention or quietly exploring my surroundings. I absolutely love having a cozy crate with soft blankets where I can retreat and feel safe and comfortable.I do best with a gentle approach and someone who will let me come to them when I’m ready. Once I feel safe, I really enjoy being close and relaxing with my person. I’m housetrained, crate trained, and I don’t have separation anxiety. I haven’t met any cats or children yet, and I haven’t had the chance to meet other dogs, so those are still things we’ll need to discover together. I’m also nervous around men, so a calm, patient introduction will be especially important.I’m still discovering my favorite activities, but I think my perfect home might be one where I can take things at my own pace, enjoy soft blankets, gentle companionship, and plenty of cozy time by your feet.
