Meet chewie
We adopted Chewie 3 1/2 years ago. She is around 11 lbs. They said she was 4yrs, but vet said closer to 6 or 7yrs. That makes her around 10 yrs old. At the time they didn't know she was 100% deaf, when they treated her for a terrible ear infection. We learned the day after adoption she couldn't hear us at all. She was very independent, didn't like to be held, but would come for some pets, loved to go for walks, and sleep at end of bed at night. Over the past year she has developed dementia and stopped going on walks and after being let out in backyard she will potty in house if you don't watch her to make sure she goes. She has trouble on the 15 deck stairs of our split level house. Looking for a loving home (with little expectations of her as she's hard to connect with) where someone can let her out often and without many stairs. We do have another small dog and they are fine around each other - but ignore each other.
