Margaux's Story

Marigold and Margaux are 3-year-old Standard Poodle sisters who have spent their lives together. They are a bonded pair and are being placed **together, not separately**. Their personalities complement each other beautifully: Marigold is the outgoing, energetic, goofy sister, while Margaux is sweeter and more reserved. Both are social with other dogs, active, and accustomed to sharing their home and daily life with one another.

We are looking for a home prepared to welcome **both girls as a family** and continue giving them the exercise, structure, companionship, grooming, and enrichment that two young Standard Poodles need.

**Marigold isn't looking for a home by herself—she comes with her sister and best friend, Margaux.** For the right family, that's not twice the problem; it's twice the Poodle. And these two already know how to live, play, and navigate life together. that's not twice the problem; it's twice the Poodle. Meet Margaux

3-Year-Old Black Standard Poodle • Female • Approximately 55 lbs. • Spayed

Margaux is a beautiful, sweet Standard Poodle with a slightly reserved personality and a serious appreciation for **neck scratches**. Once she knows you, affection is definitely the way to her heart.

She is an energetic girl who loves being outdoors, playing fetch, chewing on her toys and spending time at daycare. Margaux is **very well socialized with other dogs** and has spent her life living with her Poodle sister and two Doodle sisters. She also does well with children.

Margaux has completed **basic obedience training** and enjoys having something to do. She has the brains and energy you expect from a Standard Poodle, so she will be happiest with a family that wants an active companion rather than a dog who spends all day on the couch.

She is accustomed to regular grooming and is very cooperative—actually, **Margaux rather enjoys being pampered!** She doesn't mind having her teeth brushed, although she'd prefer that you forget all about cleaning those pesky eye goobers.

Margaux currently eats **1 1/2 cups of Blue Buffalo dry food twice a day**, morning and evening. She enjoys chewing on sticks and her toys.

She is **spayed and reported current on vaccinations**. She has never been around cats, so her behavior with cats is unknown. She has been known to chase a bird or two at daycare, something a future family should keep in mind.

And then there's Margaux the Co-Pilot...

Margaux LOVES riding shotgun.

She'll settle into the passenger seat and happily accept neck scratches while you drive. Dare to stop scratching her and she'll confidently put her paw on your hand or arm to remind you:

**“Excuse me. You weren't finished.”**

She's always willing to stop what she's doing for scratches, pets and attention—and if you ask nicely, she'll even give you a kiss.

Margaux is an affectionate, intelligent, active girl looking for people who will appreciate everything that makes a Standard Poodle special: **brains, personality, athleticism, companionship—and just enough attitude to keep life interesting.**
