Meet Mater! š¾
Mater is an adorable 3-month-old Dachshund mix weighing around 12 pounds. Heās a sweet, happy, playful little guy with lots of puppy energy and a personality that will keep you smiling.
Materās journey into rescue happened completely by chance. His foster mom stopped at a little roadside produce stand to pick up some tomatoes, and there he was. They needed someone who could take him, and one look at that sweet little face was all it took. He came home with her that day, and since a stop for tomatoes brought them together, the name āMaterā seemed pretty perfect! š ā¤ļø
Mater is now settling into foster life and doing great. He gets along well with other dogs and is also good with cats. He is very playful and loves having four-legged friends around, although heās still learning his puppy manners and may enthusiastically invite everyone to join in the fun!
Like any 3-month-old puppy, Mater is still teething, so heās learning what is and isnāt appropriate to chew on. Heās also off to a great start with house training and is making good progress as he settles into a routine.
Mater loves to play, explore, and be part of whatever is going on around him. Heās curious, affectionate, and still discovering just how much fun life can be. Heāll need a family who understands that heās still a puppy and is ready to continue helping him learn and grow with patience, consistency, and lots of love.
