Meet tuff
💗 Name: Tuff
📅 Intake Date: 9/25/26
🎂 Birthday (DOB): 9/25/24
✂️ Altered: Yes
🩺 Heartworm Status: Negative
⚖️ Weight: 14 lbs
🐾 Good with other dogs? Yes
🐈 Good with cats? Unknown
👦Good with kids? Yes
🐕 Leash Trained? Yes
🏠 House Trained? Yes
Tuff may be small around 14 pounds, but he makes up for it with personality and confidence. He loves being near his person and is happy to sit beside you or climb into your lap. He can be a little reserved with strangers at first, but once he warms up, he’s ready to go.
Tuff gets along well with large dogs and enjoys both indoor and outdoor time. He is also surprisingly athletic - he can vertical jump more than two feet and is FAST when he gets moving.
He appears to be house trained, although that hasn’t been fully confirmed. Tuff likes to know where his person is and will let you know when he’s ready to have their attention.
------------------
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION:

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
