cleo, a small 1-year-old 'jiggy'

Meet Cleo: The Stunning "Jiggy" Mix Who Will Give You Her Whole Heart! “Cleo isn't the kind of dog who loves everyone immediately. She's the kind of dog who chooses her people, and once she chooses you, you'll have her entire heart.” ❤️ Cleo is a sensitive, breathtakingly unique Jiggy (Jack Russell Terrier / Italian Greyhound mix) looking for her perfect, patient match. Saved from a high-kill shelter, this pocket-sized beauty is ready to find a safe haven where she can truly shine. While she is a bit of a shy wallflower at first meeting, the reward of earning her trust is unlike anything else. Once Cleo decides you are her safe haven, a completely different side of her blooms! She becomes fiercely affectionate, loves to shower her chosen humans with kisses, curls up tightly for snuggle sessions, and absolutely soaks up all the love she can get. Her Ideal Environment: Because Cleo inherits the highly sensitive nature of the Italian Greyhound, she thrives in a peaceful home with patient adopters. Per her professional behavior consultation, she requires a designated safe space—like a cozy crate with soft bedding or a quiet room away from household traffic—where she can retreat to decompress, reduce anxiety, and get uninterrupted rest. Social Dynamics & Family Life: Children: Cleo does well with children! First introductions should always happen in a calm, quiet space where kids are reminded to speak softly and let Cleo approach them at her own pace. Other Dogs: She generally gets along with dogs her own size, though she has that confident Terrier spark and prefers to be the dominant female in her environment. Thoughtful, slow introductions on neutral leash ground will set her up for success. One-on-One Time: Cleo thrives on dedicated quality time with her favorite person, whether that means a structured game, a quiet walk, or a movie night snuggle session on the couch. Travel & Vet Care Quirks: Cleo gets nervous at the vet and is prone to car sickness, so she is looking for a family willing to accommodate her travel needs. Her future adopters can help her by keeping car trips short, using natural calming aids or anxiety wraps, keeping the car well-ventilated, and avoiding feeding her right before heading out. Adoption & Application Details: Adoption Fee: $450.00 (Includes her spay, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations). Location: Senior Dogs and Friends Rescue, Arlington, WA.
