Chene A18761853 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -This handsome boy is a total people-loving sweetheart! He wants to be right where his person is, whether that means leaning in for pets, giving kisses, circling around you, or trying to climb into your arms for a hug. He is ALL about his people and isn’t shy about letting you know it.-He is very treat motivated and a smart boy who catches on quickly. We started working on “sit” and even just keeping all four paws on the floor, and by the end of our time together, he was offering a sit without even being asked! He clearly enjoys learning and wants to figure out what you’re asking of him.-He has that wonderful working-dog energy and enthusiasm, and I think he’ll thrive with someone who enjoys an active, engaged dog and can give him plenty of opportunities to use his brain and stay busy.-And underneath all that enthusiasm is a really sweet boy who just wants to be close to you. I finally guided him into my lap and he settled for a little while, with his head resting in my lap and his goofy little butt sticking straight up in the air. 😂 It wasn’t exactly graceful, but it was progress!-He may be a busy boy, but he’s a friendly, affectionate, smart, good-hearted guy who is going to be so much fun for someone willing to help him channel all that enthusiasm into being the very best version of himself. -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
