Our owner went into memory care and now we are looking for a new home. I am Bella Ann. I weigh about 6#. My soul mate is Peppy Lou. We are both 10 years young and have lived together our entire lives. Recently at a vet appointment they tried to separate us. We cried, howled, barked and made such a ruckus that they put us together in the same kennel and then we were fine. We only know each other as we haven’t been around other dogs much. We would sometimes see another dog on our daily walks; but we never interacted with them. It was always just us and our person.

I can use the doggie door and go outside independently. However, sometimes I have accidents when I can’t get outside in time. I was always free to roam the house and only left alone while my person went on short shopping trips or ran errands. Then after she left us, we were alone for 8-9 hours each day. That was hard and we don’t understand what happened.

They say I’m not crate trained, but I do fine in an x-pen as long as I’m with Peppy Lou. So we might be OK together in a crate large enough for both of us. If separated, we need to be able to see each other. I am leash trained as my person used to take us for 3-mile walks each morning. I love being picked up, having cuddles and prefer to sleep on your bed. My favorite is to burrow under covers whether on your bed or in my bed. Sometimes Peppy finishes eating quicker than I do and wants to help me with mine. That’s when I get protective of my food and will fuss at her. So it’s best if we eat in separate places. I ride calmly in the car in my crate & like to have my blanket with me. I’m not particularly interested in toys. I like people better. Can you give both Peppy Lou and me a home together?
