Katy’s a 3yo 10lb Chi mix. She’s dog with slow introductions and older kid friendly. Housebroken when kept on a schedule, pee pad and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and will need work on harness leashed walks. She loves to play with toys, other young, energetic dogs and cuddle with her people. She’s very active around other dogs and always wants to play which can be a bit much for more laid back or older dogs; loves to go for walks around the neighborhood but will bark at other dogs, people, squirrels, rabbits, etc; will curl up next to her human and other dogs on the couch or bed.

Katy’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, another young playful dog along with leadership, consistency and structure. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Katy as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.
