🐾 MEET TREVI 🐾
Name: Trevi

Breed: Spitz Mix

ABOUT TREVI
Personality: Affectionate, cuddly, gentle, sensitive, and shy. Trevi can be very fearful at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes an incredibly loving little Velcro dog who wants to be wherever her person is.
Favorite Things: Snuggling in bed with her person, cuddling, pets, being close to someone she trusts, treats, and spending time in the backyard.
Funny/Cute Quirk: Once Trevi trusts you, personal space goes out the window! She loves sleeping snuggled right next to her person and following them from room to room.
Foster’s Favorite Thing About Them: Watching Trevi learn to trust and discover how much she loves affection. In just a few days in her foster home, she went from being terrified of nearly everything to cuddling, playing, learning, and showing her sweet personality.

Good with Dogs: Yes — she does wonderfully with her foster’s calm, gentle dog.

Ideal Home: A quiet, predictable home with no young children and a securely fenced yard. A calm, gentle resident dog is required to help Trevi gain confidence and learn how to be a dog. She is not ready for leashed walks yet, so her adopter must be patient and willing to work at her pace. Someone who is home often would be ideal. Most importantly, Trevi needs a patient, understanding person who will allow her to build confidence on her own timeline.

Anything Else We Should Know: Trevi is spayed and microchipped. She is very treat motivated, already knows “sit,” allows her foster to put on and remove her collar, and has shown no resource guarding or aggression toward her foster. She can become scared easily and may have a lot of nervous energy, but she responds well to the calm guidance of her foster and resident dog. She is also comfortable being left home alone as long as another dog is with her.

This brave girl recently went on her first leashed walk and is slowly building more confidence with each new experience. What once felt scary is becoming a little easier as she learns that she is safe and loved. ❤️
She’s also discovered how much fun toys can be and has started playing with the other dogs in her foster home! 🐶🎾 Seeing her come out of her shell, engage with her furry friends, and simply enjoy being a dog has been so rewarding.
Trevi may still need a patient family willing to let her continue blossoming at her own pace, but she has already come SO far. Underneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet girl who is learning more and more every day that the world doesn’t have to be scary.
