Frankie is a 1-year-old handsome young man who weighs 48 lbs and is located in Mount Airy, MD.

Frankie loves to play and loves to lounge, making him a great middle-energy guy. He enjoys being outside playing fetch, squeaky balls and other toys. If he could spend his days on the couch after an outing his life would be heaven! He also enjoys playing with other dogs, although very high energy/physical dogs are a bit much for him.

Frankie is an intelligent boy who does the typical Aussie thing of staring or barking to get your attention when he wants to play or go outside. His blue eyes will definitely keep your attention! He is a good listener and is crate trained. He knows sit, down, and walks with a loose leash. While Frankie is a smart boy, he still has plenty of puppy in him and can be a tad mouthy. Due to being mouthy, Frankie will need an adult only home who is willing to continue his training as he grows into adulthood.

Frankie likes having his own space and has gotten a little less cuddly as he is growing. He will get up on the bed and sleep there at night, although he will eventually move to the floor. He does like having his own space and would do best with a family who understands and respects that.

Frankie is comfortable being home alone for a couple of hours and is crated when his people leave. His crate is his safe spot. He has shown no signs of resource guarding with food or toys with his adult owners.

Frankie loves meeting new people! He is a little cautious and may be wary of people wearing hats. He can also get a little skittish with loud noises such as trucks and may hide. Traffic noises are scary for him. Because Frankie does not like loud noises, he will need quiet and patient adults that can help him be safe as he acclimates to the sounds of his new home.

Frankie is a fun, smart, active young Aussie who is looking for a child-free home that will give him the structure, continued training, space, and love he needs to become the best adult dog he can be. He enjoys canine friends, has a great mix of play and lounge time, and is ready to find his next family!
