Meet sherman
Meet Sherman! He waited three long months in an overcrowded shelter, hoping his forever home would finally find him. As a true shelter favorite, Cody’s Friends knew they had to step in and help rescue this beautiful soul.
Sherman is a Great Pyrenees mix with a striking black-and-white coat and freckles running up his legs. He currently weighs about 50 pounds and should fill out closer to 70 once he’s at his ideal weight. Extremely sweet and loving, he’s a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he becomes a total shadow. He’ll follow you from room to room, stare up with those big eyes and the cutest little underbite, and even give your hand a gentle nudge when he wants pets. Speaking of eyes, Sherman is blind in his left eye most likely due to a previous injury. It does not seem to cause him to act any different.
He has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him an easy fit for a more relaxed household. Because he loves being close to his person, he’d also make a wonderful travel companion. He’s crate trained, knows basic commands like sit and come, and is good with dogs. At five years old he’s mostly chill and quiet, though he can be playful with other dogs. Besides people, his favorite thing in the world is a squeaky toy. He’s very gentle with them and when he hears that squeak, his entire demeanor perks up. He becomes a little obsessed with the squeaking, and as a result, would be better with older children.
Sherman is being fostered in Waco. If you’re looking for a caring, easy-going, and reliable companion, check Sherman out today!
