Louis — The Big, Playful Lovebug

Meet Louis, a 1-year-old, 55-lb boy who is playful, fun, and full of personality.
Louis had a scary start to life. As a puppy, he was found on the streets after being attacked by another dog. That experience understandably stuck with him, and while Louis can learn to trust other dogs, he needs time, patience, and slow introductions before he feels safe around them. He does, however, do well with cats!

With people, Louis is a sweet, playful guy who loves having fun and being part of the action. He’s also potty trained and past the tiny puppy stage, making him a great companion for someone looking for a young dog without starting completely from scratch.

Louis didn’t get the carefree puppyhood he deserved, but he hasn’t let that take away his love for life. He’s looking for a family who will understand his past, give him the security he needs, and let this big, goofy boy finally enjoy being someone’s beloved dog.

Louis is currently in Puerto Rico and will be transported to the states for his forever home or a foster offer.
