Recently released from a commercial breeder, Basalt was born on 4/10/26 and is a purebred miniature Dachshund. His adorable face mask hides a charming personality that will continue to blossom and evolve in foster care.
Basalt is the typical puppy, with puppy energy and puppy teeth who needs appropriate items to chew and to have outlets for his energy.
The ideal home for Basalt will have a securely fenced yard as he is not yet leash trained, a resident canine for a mentor and playmate and any children in the household should be over the age of 10. He will have age-appropriate vaccinations, be microchipped, and neutered prior to adoption.
The suggested adoption donation for Basalt is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise.
