Meet rocky
Rocky, 2 year old German Shepherd mix(poss.Malinois). Shelter pup who was abandoned by his previous owner, tied up and left outside, so I took a chance on him and love him without any previous background history. House/crate trained, knows sit, down, wait, stay and loves fetch with any ball. Super smart and willing to learn, very food motivated as well. But unfortunately he does have resource guarding. I have 3 children, 10,9, and 2. He does well with older kids but not at all with my 2 year old. He guards myself and older children from dad and toddler. He has separation anxiety. He has had board/train and I have tried multiple training methods to get him in a calm/happy and not so much on guard mode. Poss. previous ptsd and I’m just not sure how much more I can keep up my high alert when he is around my toddler. Amazing dog and best walking buddy, but unfortunately just best with a single woman or woman with older kids or someone who is willing to put in a lot of extra work daily.
