🐾 MEET SUNNY — A SPECIAL SIGHTHOUND BLEND LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 🐾
Sunny is a full-grown 45-pound Sighthound/Saluki blend who is fully vetted, around 1.5 years old, good with cats and other dogs, and ready to find the loving family he deserves. ❤️
Sunny can be a little skittish when he first meets you, but give him a day or two and you’ll see his sweet personality come shining through. Once he trusts you, he becomes very attached and affectionate. He loves giving kisses and wants to be wherever his people are. 🥰
He is a gentle boy who thinks he’s a lap dog! He loves lounging around, sleeping in his favorite spot, chewing on his toys, and hanging out with his canine friends.
🏡 Sunny’s ideal home:
• A secure, full-height fenced yard is a MUST
• Someone willing to give him at least one good walk a day — two would be even better
• A home with patience while he builds confidence
• Another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus
• Someone who understands that Sighthounds can be independent and may have poor recall
• A family that will keep him safely secured with a harness, as he can slip out of a collar
Sunny can stay home alone for several hours and did beautifully when left with toys. He is not destructive, but he LOVES to chew, so this boy needs plenty of toys!
He does have some mild food-resource guarding around other dogs, so his adopter will need to feed him separately and respect his space around food. He is also sensitive to loud noises and thunderstorms.
Sunny loves his people and his dog friends and simply wants to feel safe, loved and included. Once he bonds with you, you will have a devoted companion who wants to be right by your side. ❤️
Sunny is the kind of dog who may need a little patience in the beginning — but once he trusts you, you’ll see what a wonderful companion he can be.
