alfalfa and winnie

When posting a need for a new home for a needy saint and in this case two, we, as a rule do not share intimate private details of why the dogs need a new home, i.e., cancer, bad divorce, etc.
However in this case, I know Pam and Tom do not mind and would do anything to save their 2 wonderful, loving 11 1/2 year old Saint Bernards (fulling vetted).
As you can see below Alfalfa and Winnie's original posts by me over 5 years ago or so. Alfalfa and Darla were adopted by Pam and Tom. Sadly, Darla passed away and Alfalfa was very lonely.
Winnie needed a home and Alfalfa needed a friend. I immediately had Winnie transported to Pam and Tom's home. That was over 5 years ago. SINCE, THESE DOGS HAVE BEEN CHERISHED, WELL CARED FOR AND GIVING A HAPPY LOVING HOME WITH LOTS OF PETTING AND CUDDLES. These dogs were Pam and Tom's world.
Sadly, Pam passed away quite shockingly of pneumonia back in May. We all thought she was recovering and on her way back to health and her home. Prior to her illness, she and Tom were planning on visiting me out here in Pennsylvania.
Since then, Tom a grieving widower who suffers from early stage Alzheimers had to put his home up for sale (just the other day (09-11-26).
TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE WITHIN REASON. WE ARE OUT OF MONEY FOR RESCUE AND CAN ONLY CONTRIBUTE OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS WITHIN REASON. BUT, THESE TWO SAINTS DESERVE THE BEST HOME, EVEN IF HOURS AWAY FROM NORWOOD, MO.
Tom contacted me needing urgent placement of both Winnie and Alfalfa together (OF COURSE). Both dogs are fully vetted, neutered/spayed and well cared for. However, Winnie is BLIND. Severe glaucoma. She relies on Alfalfa. They are in good spirits and health (for their very old age).
The dogs love cats, other dogs, children, never met a stranger that they didnt love. They love life and are extremely affectionate.
