Meet tank
TANK IS READY FOR HIS NEXT CHAPTER.
When Tank was found chained outside in Houston, he was just 39 pounds. No food. No water. No shelter from the brutal Texas heat. He was severely underweight and had clearly been neglected for far too long.
But somehow, Tank never let any of that change who he is.
Since coming into care, this boy has gained 15 POUNDS!!! And as his body has healed, we’ve gotten to see more and more of the dog underneath all that hardship.
And honestly? Everyone loves Tank.
The volunteers who have spent time with him all say the same thing — he is so sweet, so nice, and so much fun. He loves being around people and has been fantastic with dogs in his foster home. He plays with the playful pups, does great with a big Doberman, and then happily settles in with the older dogs for some couch time.
That’s what makes Tank’s story so special. After everything he went through, he still greets people with a happy heart. He still wants to play. He still wants to be included. He still trusts.
And now, for the first time, he’s getting the chance to just be a dog.
Tank is a 3-year-old black and white Staffy/Boxer mix, and he is ready to find the people who will make sure the rest of his life looks nothing like his beginning.
He has gained the weight.He has found his confidence.He has discovered couches, friends, playtime and kindness.
Now he needs his forever family.
We are SO excited to find the people who are going to look at this boy and say, “That’s our dog.”
