Hi, I’m Alexy! I’m a 10-year-old Golden Retriever/Husky mix with a sweet heart, a clever mind, and a whole lot of love left to give.

I can be a little unsure when I first meet someone, but give me some time to get comfortable and you’ll discover just how affectionate I am. Once you’re my person, I love being close, soaking up attention and enjoying the security of having someone I trust nearby. I’ve got that husky intelligence, but I’m also eager to please and really enjoy knowing I’m making my person happy.

At this stage of my life, I know exactly what kind of home makes me happiest: quiet, calm and all about me! I need to be the only pet in an adult-only home, without children or other animals. Lots of activity and commotion just aren’t my thing. I’d much rather have a peaceful routine with someone who is home often and can give me the reassurance and companionship I crave.

I’m house trained and have always had the freedom to roam my home, so I’m not crate trained—but I’m also not destructive. Since I’m a senior gal, I do need more frequent opportunities to go outside. I still enjoy my walks and I’m fantastic on a leash, but these days I prefer them short and sweet rather than long and strenuous.

And if you like to travel, I’m your girl! I’m an amazing travel companion and would be very happy to come along for the ride.

I may be 10, but I’m not looking for a place to simply spend my golden years. I’m looking for my person—someone who will give me a peaceful home, help me feel safe when the world seems a little uncertain, and let me spend these next years doing what I love most: being loved and loving you right back.
