Meet jersey
Jersey is an enigma wrapped in a fluffy coat with a side of spunk.
What's his breed, you may ask? Great question. No idea.
He was surrendered under the guise of a "chihuahua mix", but once we got him on a healthy path, he started growing... and growing... and he hasn't stopped. He's quadrupled in size in just under a month with no signs of slowing down.
We are sending out a DNA panel on him, but we do not expect to have those results for a while, so any interested adopters should be prepared for a puppy that lands anywhere from 10 lbs to 30lbs full grown. He's a mystery!
What we do know about Jersey is that he is exceedingly confident. He is adventurous, brave, self-assured, and not afraid of anything. He is an excellent travel partner, and loves making friends with dogs of all sizes. He's very smart and food motivated, and we expect him to pick up on crate training and potty training very quickly.
Jersey loves being with his people, but he's also very happy to wander off on his own and find some toys to entertain himself with. He's thrilled if he has a dog around to play with, but he's totally fine keeping himself occupied otherwise. He's a pretty solid pup.
His adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives (flea, tick, and heartworm), multiple rounds of deworming, neuter, and microchip.
Adopters must live in or within 3 hours of Chicago to be considered.
Please only apply if your timeline allows you to take your new family member home the same week you are approved.
