Meet spike
Meet our 30-lb, 9-year-old Shih Tzu and certified bougie couch potato. 🥔❤️
He’s down 2 lbs in foster care, loves toys, fetch, smaller dog friends, and—most importantly—his people. He’s not a Velcro dog…he’s a super-glue dog. 😂
Like any distinguished gentleman, he comes with a little maintenance—dry eye and allergies that just need some extra TLC. He’s sweet, wonderfully peculiar, a classic foot dog, and always nearby.
And don’t worry about owning a clock—he WILL let you know when it’s dinner time. ⏰😂
ADOPTION PROCESS
1. Review our adoption contract and application.
2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.
3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below:
Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog
Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat
It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 3 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed.
